How to maintain strong and healthy hair : 5 tips and tricks

Tip 1- Massaging your scalp regularly can increase the blood flow to your hair follicles. It is one of the best and most natural ways of making your hair strong and is most effective when your head is tilted upside down. This method doesn’t only just make your hair healthy and strong, it also grows your hair rather quickly if done on a regular basis. 

Tip 2- Using a high quality shampoo and conditioner can also have a great effect on your hair. If you have fine hair, you can use volumizing or thickening shampoos and conditioners; if you have thick or oily hair, you may want to use a deep-cleansing shampoo and a light conditioner. 

Tip 3- When trying to keep your hair strong and healthy it is important that you DO NOT wash your hair on a day-to-day basis. This can do very destructive damage to your hair follicles and ends. An alternative way to get all the oils out of your hair is to use Dry Shampoo which will cleanse out all the bad oil is your hair produces. (However , having some oils in your hair are good for your scalp and hair growth as the natural oils help make your hair stronger)

 Tip 4- Not using any heat products will definitely be helpful when it comes to keeping your hair healthy!! Heat is the thing that damages your hair the most and causes weak and breakable hair; not to mention all the spilt ends! Going heat free for a month will certainly be beneficial as your hair will feel soft, silky, strong, fresh, healthy and new! Your hair will also go faster as the heat restricts that from happening. However if u have to use a straightener or curler make sure to put on some Heat Protectant before applying the heat as if will minimise the risk of your hair being as damaged. If you don’t want to air dry your hair as you are going out and can’t leave it wet, make sure you use the cool drying option as it won’t be damaging your hair as much as the heat does. This will take a few extra minutes however it’s will pay off in the long run.  

Tip 5- Eat Healthy!! This is the key to maintain your hair and keeping it strong. Some variety of foods that you should definitely try include fish, Greek yogurt, leafy greens, orange fruits + vegetables, spices and even protein such as eggs. Also another factor is to make sure you get enough iron as this will certainly help too along with drinking enough fluids during the day; mainly water. (no soft drinks) All of these delicious foods can help you receive strong and shiny hair!
